The Data Journey – from opinion to decision.

Statistician W. Edwards Deming once said, “without data we become just another person with an opinion.”

How true a statement when we find ourselves in today’s environment where market reports are expecting data volumes to reach 44 zettabytes by 2020. That’s equivalent to 40 X times more bytes than there are stars in the observable universe. That’s a lot!

At ASE we know a bit about a lot of data. Having focused on data and its management for over 20 years, we were delighted to partner and support ClubsNSW at the inflection point of their data journey.

As a organisation we (ASE) far too often hear the term ‘digital transformation’ (DX) being (over) used. At its core, DX occurs when manual infused workflows and processes become digital. However, the key determining factor that is often overlooked, forgotten and impedes on the completion of a transformational project completing is: the fact that successful #digitaltransformation actually hinges on a good understanding of a organisation’s approach and management of its data and its data points.
